there is no finish line. and that is something i dont like because i dont think im capable of changing my 20yrs of lifestyle into one of excercise and small portions etc.
i know its much harder for my heavier bf.
and plus i will miss his belly but i know its for the best. its better for him and keeps his love around longer.
im naturally inclined to be fat. i was fat all of my life. i am 247 and i had lost to 203 but got discouraged that it was too hard to be to 200 and felt impossible to be 160..
PLUS my BF loves me no matter what and we ARE attracted to each other greatly.
so, i know we should lose weight but right now we are happy. i do know we need to, or face probs when we are older.
im going to give my kids a fightng chance.i will try to eat lots of veggies while prego and encourage healthy practices.
yes it its a complicated issue.
most ppl didnt have a mexican mom who fed u anything u wanted(as a kid all i liked was pizza and junk food)me and my bf had bad starts and developed tastes.my bf hates veggies because he was raised on fatty food.he told me that i will never b able to get him to eat veggies.i can only hope to find a way to make veggies appealing to us.i will gulp veggies down but they arent my first choice.
im lazy and dont think that i can excercise all of my life 4 a thinner bod
I suggest you check the Centers for Disease Control website for their analysis of the causes of obesity.

its real simple, eat healthy and exercise, i did and i lost 190lbs in 9 months with no surgeries
What do you mean other reason.. What they eat and the exercise is 100% of the problem.
I agree with you, being overweight is a choice for the most part. There are hereditary factors for sure, but if one tried hard, they can at least stabilize their weight if not drop a lot of it. I have first-hand experience with that. In high school I wasn’t obese but I was definitely fat. When I started university I hit the gym every day and lost a good 25-30LBs. So exercise is definitely the way to go!
You are entitled to your opinion, however I suggest that you visit objective medical information sites like the Centers for Disease Control, which emphatically state that there are many factors contributing to obesity. They include lifestyle as one of many factors. “Overall there are a variety of factors that play a role in obesity. This makes it a complex health issue to address.”

Reason why most teens are over weight is because of stress and depression but other reason lie on there diet what they are consumin. If they really took time and looked at what they were eating they would see why they are big.You just can’t think you can eat junk food all the time all hours of the day and think you aint gonna pay for it in the long run.Diet and Exercise is a must don’t just lay down after a meal.Another helpful tip don’t eat something before bedtime it will stick.
Obesity is a lifestyle not a disease….as I said before (i guess you deleted my comment). I am sorry you fail to realize that humans are not meant to be fat. If you really think that it is normal then you clearly have no idea what evolution states. We evolve to help ourselves. Being lazier and slower and fatter can only hurt us. It is their fault for being fat. If everyone had to work out then our country would be better off.
Okay I don’t want to sound mean. Because I’m aware I’m fat myself, but obesity isn’t a disease. It’s my fault I’m big. I understand If you have a medical condition that causes it, but If you eat too much, your bringing it upon yourself. I understand what I did to make myslef overweight, and I’m fine with that. Just don’t lie to yourself.
i’m with BWID
Obesity is considered a real health issue that is caused by a variety of factors, one of which is poor eating habits. Others are genetics, environment and economic status. Quoting from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): “Overall there are a variety of factors that play a role in obesity. This makes it a complex health issue to address.”
Yeah obesity is a disease!
Something goes wrong in the head and takes control over your body and makes you go to Mac Donald’s, opens your mouth and tells the people there you need a juicy burger. You can’t control it!
It seriously takes over you and makes you put that burger in your mouth, chew and swallow!
I think that depends on what a person would consider “proper”.
Me too! The lunches are gross, and I go to a small private school so what they feed us isn’t monitered as it should be. Most of it is donated food. Plus, I’m a vegetarian, so the staff gets angry if I don’t eat.
I completely agree! I recently switched schools and the lunches that are mandatory are TERRIBLE! One kid got colon cancer from the processed meats. There’s no food for me there- I’m a vegan and it’s considered “competition” to bring my own food.
proper upraising of children can prevent obesity.
there are better ways to get skinnier than surgery…its simple, eat healthier
I agree. You don’t need to change the size of your stomach. You need to change your diet and the way you look at life.
It’s such a shame… We need to see what’s happening and take better action, “Apple Fries” at McDonald’s aren’t enough to cure this.
at the same time though, having bad food and good food teaches people good decision making, how to deal with temptation is great for learning the great skill of moderation.
the development of agriculture you say, so back in the year 2500 BC when humans stopped roaming and settled down? Because that’s when agriculture developed.
Check out the Obesity and Gastric Bypass “Playlist”. As far as I know this hasn’t been on the news.
