Maybe you should try READING Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution…After Induction, you gradually add back in fruits and whole grains and nuts. You can eat veggies from the beginning. And juice is not good for you, it is packed with sugar, you should eat fruit instead of drink juice. Atkins is not restrictive, the only thing it restricts is processed carbohydrates. So eliminating cookies, pasta, chips and packaged sweets, etc. is dumb? What did our ancestors ever do without Doritos & Twinkies?

How are you supposed to diet (in the weight-loss sense of the word) if you’re eating unlimited calories? I don’t get it. That’s why I need to lose weight in the first place…?

Low fat diet doesnt necessary meat low calories. Studies show that Vegetarian diet which show even higher calories intalk from complex carbonhydrate, plant-based food does not promote weight gain and benefit health long term. Go read The China Study by Dr. Campell, it gives you a great knowledge of what nurtriton really is.
Do you have proof that they don’t? Show me your proof that low fat diets work better than low carb ones. Peer reviewed please.

Well I agree with this video 100%. I never succeeded eating low calorie/low fat. My mom has been a diabetic her whole life and always stressed not eating alot of starches and sugar. This advice has helped me not baloon out of control with my weight.
Plust low fat or non fat products are just not good for you. Do the research - they add in fillers and other crap to these products that are not healthy at all.
In the end, you really only know from personal experience - so much contradictory info. out there regarding nutrition and health. What I know so far for myself: low-calorie diets suck, but so do low-carb, high fat/protein diets - wreaked havoc on my health. Finding that eating a lot of fruits/vegetables and limiting my fat intake makes ME feel best. Don’t let anyone else tell you what’s what - you should give yourself the final say.

get up later only eat two substancial meals a day. eat veggies and fiber. dont eat fries when you go to mcdonalds. drink water. drink diet soda. its not that hard. people cant always have a quick fix. it takes time. did it take one week to become fat… no… it wont take one weeek to be skinny either
There’s truth here. I just got out of the hospital today with extensive testing and the results were all negative for heart disease. When I asked about a diet (I’m overweight) they looked confused and said any internet diet will do!And I’m paying for this? Why not just eat pizza, fish, salad and dessert, then take a walk twice a day? Like he said; you’ll be happier and not so hungry.

You are STILL missing the point. Sean said that low carb diets have a higher success rate than low fat diets. He didn’t say “in my experience”, he said flatly that they (low carb) had a higher success rate. All I’m asking for is scientific proof.
I’ve seen the BBC video you talk about, that’s still not science, it’s anecdotal. I’m not against low carb at all, I just don’t like people talking out of their asses.
If you want absolute data from scientific controled studies on everything stay off of youtube is my 1st suggestion 2nd He was reading from a book containing a controlled study 3rd go to google video find the bbc video on “the Atkins Diet” 4th Why not try each diet (low carb vs low fat) yourself thats the REAL proof.
You guys are completely missing the point. The statement made in the video is that low carb diets have a better success rate than low fat. I want scientific proof of this, NOT ANECDOTAL PROOF. I completely understand the premise of low carb diets, that’s not the point at all.
I’m not doing the research on this, I didn’t make the statement. If someone makes the claim, it only makes sense they build their position based on evidence from controlled studies, not “it worked for so and so”.
There are lots of studies look them up on google or try it yourself. Most of the studies were a result of studying the Atkins
diet which has been around since the 70’s. Reduce or eliminate man made Carbs like bread and white pasta, crackers and cereals like corn flakes and you will lose weight. Want a Study? try it yourself. The key is to get lots of protein and you won’t feel hungry on less calories.
